BBL in Istanbul: Buttock Fat Transfer
A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), also called buttock fat transfer, uses your own fat to change the volume and contour of the buttocks. Fat is collected by liposuction, prepared and transferred to the buttock area. It is different from buttock implants and from a surgical lift that removes loose skin. Results vary between individuals.
Ultrasound-guided BBL and safety
Dr. Alper İnce performs BBL with ultrasound guidance to help visualise the cannula and surrounding tissues during fat transfer. Ultrasound is used as part of the surgical safety approach to support monitoring of fat placement.
Ultrasound guidance does not make BBL risk-free. Fat embolism and other serious complications remain possible. Individual assessment, the surgical technique and appropriate aftercare are essential parts of planning.
Who may be suitable for a BBL?
Suitability requires an individual medical assessment. Your health, available donor fat, skin quality, previous surgery, smoking and expectations are considered. Limited donor fat or significant loose skin may mean that another approach is more appropriate. BBL is not a weight-loss treatment.

Recovery and the timing of travel depend on the procedure and your progress; arrange follow-up and obtain medical advice before travelling home.
What are the risks?
Risks include bleeding, infection, fluid collections, changes in sensation, asymmetry, contour irregularities and fat necrosis. Some transferred fat may be absorbed, and further surgery may be needed. Anaesthesia complications, blood clots and fat embolism are serious risks; fat embolism can be life-threatening. This list is not exhaustive. Your surgeon should explain the risks relevant to you and the available alternatives.
How long do results last?
Some of the transferred fat is absorbed during healing. The amount that remains and the final shape cannot be guaranteed. Weight changes, ageing and lifestyle can affect the result. Your surgeon will explain when the outcome can be assessed.
